Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of prospective counselor in writing a research proposal through Problem Based Learning method/ Inquiry (PBL/I) and in particular its purpose is to (1) determine the increased activity of the prospective counselor in writing a research proposal with PBL/I method, and (2) the increase in the ability of prospective counselors in writing a research proposal. This study uses classroom action research with the research subjects were VII semester student majoring BK IAIN Batusangkar. The results of the study in the first cycle showed an increase in activity and the ability of prospective counselors in writing a research proposal. This increase is very varied in accordance with the capability and experience of the students. The results of the second cycle study showed mastery of each indicator, but the indicators are controlled and enhanced by the prospective counselor in the research proposal is; select and formulate the title of the actual and straightforward, choosing and using the concept/ theory/ reference that is current and relevant to support the research problem, enter the empirical facts in the background of the problem, restrict and define problems, formulate objectives in line with the formulation of research problems, formulating usability research, select and use the theory / concept of the actual, choose the appropriate method to the problem and research objectives, and the ability to follow the format of the research proposal.

Abstract

This article discusses the problem of character education. Character education into the spotlight of attention lately because of the decline, which resulted in the decline of morals. In the Quran, the characters use the term "akhlaq" who interpreted the will of the conditioned. Will and habit give rise to power. In the habit of producing a good deed is called akhlakul karimah. Character education is a deliberate effort to help character development with optimal. Character education cant just transfer knowledge or train a certain skill. Character education need to process, examples of exemplary, and conditioning or pembudayaan in the environment of the learners in the school environment, family, or community environment. Character education in the Quran need to pay attention to the importance of the cultivation of the moral dimensions of commendable (akhlakul karimah).

Abstract

One of the demands of the students success in learning in College is having a positive attitude towards lecturers so that students are able to build positive interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with his professors. The number of complaints against the attitude of the supervising lecturer whose dibimbingnya are mainly in terms of communicating makes the background in this research. This research aims to know interpersonal relationships of college students toward professors in the process guidance of thesis. This research was conducted with descriptive method quantitative approach through. The population of the research was all students majoring in Islamic religious high school of Tarbiyah (STAIN) Curup the academic year 2010/2011 who are on semester 8 and is in the process of completion of the thesis. The number of samples as many as 69 people. The data obtained via the question form. The data were analyzed with the help of the program SPSS version 16.0. The results showed that interpersonal relationships of college students toward professors in terms of attitudes towards students appreciate lecturer in process guidance with thesis score tend to be occupied by students on the criteria either i.e. 74.5%. Interpersonal relationships of college students toward professors in terms of loyalty and tolerance attitudes of students toward professors in the process of graduation thesis guidance with a score that tend to be assigned to students on criteria either i.e. 66.6%. Interpersonal relationships of college students toward professors in terms of openness towards students in the process of graduation thesis guidance lecturer with a score that tend to be assigned to students at 60.2% i.e. enough criteria. Interpersonal relationships of college students toward professors in terms of friendliness toward students in the process of graduation thesis guidance lecturer with a score that tend to be assigned to students in not a good criteria i.e. 50.7%. Thus, the overall total score that tend to be assigned to students at enough where the score obtained is 75.08%. Abstract

Parents attention and the general public attention toward children development tend to be more directed to cognitive aspect and psychomotor aspect. It is also suspected to occur to the educators and managers of educational institutions especially in the formal school. School as a place to prepare children to live better in the future presents the materials/subjects that emphasizes on the childrens cognitive development. In fact, to live does not merely depend on academic intelligence. Moreover, the emotional side of an individual can even hold a more dominant role than academic intelligence. In line with the schools objective to develop the students competencies from various aspects, it needs to realize that there are some psychological sides that should also be developed in the classroom learning process, such as self-control, achievement needs and mastership, and self esteem. Talking about self-esteem, almost all psychologists believe that it affects someones behavior which would also influence his presence in social environment. Self esteem is not formed solely from heredity, but is also influenced by the environment or the self system beyond. Generally, changing the behavior of students can be empowered by educational sectors, in which the guidance and counseling services are parts of the education. By providing guidance group service using the technique of suggestion can improve the students self esteem. The importance of the techniques of suggestion in guidance services need to be accompanied by a monitoring counselor in the school, so that it is really programmed to be able to increase the students self-esteem.

Abstract

The discription of human’s psyche and motivation was besides discribed by general psychology it was also done in the Islamic psychology. Human psyche and motivation in general psychology is more emphasized on the worldly interests, meanwhile the psyche and motivation in Islam bisides containts the worldy interests it also includes the religious belief to firmly believe in the truth of Islamic doctrines. These points of differences is more caused by the opinion paradigm used. The object of general psychology is the real facts, meanwhile in the Islamic psychology besides views the materials also perceives the immaterials. The Islamic psychology containts the elements related to religious preferences for the shake of religious or belief interests, meanwhile it is less or nothing in general psychology. The aspect of religious is the special charecteristic of Islamic psychology compared with general psychology or others.
